Getting MagazinesThis page provides information for those who may wish to get missionary magazines or other literature from Project Restore, Inc. What products does Project Restore supply? Project Restore works with Family Heritage Books to produce and distribute several 32-page magazines. In addition Project Restore has produced smaller magazines and other materials listed below. The titles are:
* All 32-page magazines special price for 4 or more boxes (can have different title for each box) ordered at one time: $62.50 per box plus shipping. How can I get a small quantity of the magazines for my personal distribution? Small quantities of the 32-page missionary magazines "America Superpower of Prophecy," "A Time for Joy," "Love Stronger Than Death," "Radiant Living," "Peace Above the Storm," and other magazines not handled by Project Restore can be purchased from Family Heritage Books (FHB), P.O. Box 232, Wildwood, GA 30757 (order phone 800-777-2848, other business phone: 256-597-3549). Their e-mail is famheritbk@aol.com The current regular pricing for these can be seen at the Family Heritage Books web page: http://www.familyheritagebooks.com/ I don't think they take orders over the web, but they have a toll-free number and they accept credit cards. How can I buy a box quantity or more of the magazines? We don't consider ourselves to be in the magazine-selling business, although we frequently have a large number on hand. To discuss getting the magazines through Project Restore (especially in case (250) lots or more), I recommend contacting the president of Project Restore, Ron Goss, on the phone at 540-672-4549. Ron estimates that the magazines actually cost us about .30 per copy (as noted in the table above) when production and follow-up costs are considered. Project Restore can ship by United Parcel Service (UPS) or by the U.S. Postal Service (USPS) for shipments to USA addresses and many other countries. Our mailing service charges $2.00 per package for handling and we charge $2.00 for processing (total = $4.00 per package). We ship from zip code 22960. UPS rates in the USA can be checked here. Please remember to add the $4.00 handling charge plus an additional 13.5% of the shipping charge that our mailing service charges for UPS billing. In the appropriate places on the UPS rate calculator web page select "daily pickup," "your packaging," enter length as "11", width as "9" and height as "12" (for one box of 32-page magazines). If the total UPS shipment to the same address exceeds 100 pounds (multiple boxes), there is a discounted "hundredweight" shipping rate available (please e-mail us for details). UPS packages are automatically insured for up to $100. There is no automatic insurance with USPS library mail packages, but we include it ($2.05 for packages valued at $50.01 to $100) in the table below the next paragraph. For international shipments, please contact us for a quote. Please provide titles and quantities to be shipped (these can be adjusted before shipment if desired). In most cases, the least expensive international shipping will be with USPS flat-rate priority boxes. We can fit 125 copies of the 32-page magazines into one of these and ship to Canada or Mexico for $25 or to all other countries for $39. Here are a few USPS library mail shipping rates to USA addresses with the handling charge and insurance included (as of 05/15/2007):
USPS priority flat-rate boxes are another shipping option. We can send the smaller flat-rate box to USA addresses for $11.80 (shipping and handling). We can fit 125 copies of the larger 32-page magazines in one of these boxes or 130 copies of the smaller 64-page magazines. Delivery time is usually two to three days for priority mail (according to the USPS). While using the above information, you should be able to closely estimate shipping, please contact us before ordering so that we can verify the numbers for you (or just call (877-463-7529) or email for a quote in the first place). How can I pay for the magazines I want to get? Project Restore tries to be a ministry rather than a business. If you would like to assist with the production and shipping expenses as noted above, just send a check to Project Restore, P.O. Box 2000, Locust Dale, VA 22048 and include a note indicating what materials you are asking for and (of course) your shipping address. Alternately if we have already provided a shipping quote, a donation can be made with a credit or debit card using the "donate" button on the home page of the Project Restore web site. We usually send receipts for funds received in the mail within 4 to 8 weeks. Funds received using the "donate" button get email payment notification promptly if you provided an email address. Can the magazines also be bulk mailed? Project Restore also has inventory at a local bulk mailer and can have magazines bulk mailed to selected zip codes at an additional cost. The Project Restore magazines have different back covers from otherwise identical magazines distributed by Family Heritage Books. The Project Restore 32-page magazines offer a free copy of the "Bible Readings for the Home" book on the back cover (except "Radiant Living" which offers a free copy of "The Ministry of Healing" paperback book and "The Law of Liberty," "Messengers of Light," and "Whispers of His Love" which offer the "Great Controversy" book and "Power of His Passion" which offers just the Discover Bible guides). The 32-page magazines produced by FHB for their own inventory offer the Discover Bible course. FHB does usually have some magazines on hand of the Project Restore back cover, and may be able to supply them if you so request. FHB also has additional magazines and books that Project Restore does not handle. The "Born Free", "Shiloh" and "Facing Life's Record" magazines are only available from Project Restore. These three smaller magazines don't offer a free book, but rather on the inside of the back cover, a selection of some of the 32-page magazines. FHB also does not carry "The Word Made Simple" or the pocket booklet on "The Will." "The Will" is no longer available from us but may be obtainable from http://www.greatcontroversy.org/gco/pri/gcopress.php. Project Restore purchases these from Harvestime Books. Their web site is at http://www.harvestimebookstore.com/shop/Scripts/default.asp. Are the magazines available in Spanish? Presently (September 2003) six of the 32-page titles have been published in Spanish. They are "America Superpower," "A Time for Joy," "A Love Stronger Than Death," "Radiant Living," "Peace Above the Storm," and "The Power of His Passion." The back cover of the Spanish editions (both those from Project Restore and Family Heritage Books) offers the "Discover" correspondence Bible course. These magazines come packed 250 copies per box except "A Love Stronger Than Death" which has 240 copies per box. The shipping weights are the same as the English versions of the same title.
