The Certainty of Salvation

In these days of mounting perplexity and turmoil, Christ is our only hope.

Receive Christ

John 3:3. Except a man be born from above, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

Romans 3:23For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.

Romans 6:23. For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

“It is impossible for us, of ourselves to escape from the pit of sin in which we are sunken. Our hearts are evil, and we cannot change them.$rdquo;

Jeremiah 13:23. Can the Ethiopian change his skin, or the leopard his spots? then may ye also do good, that are accustomed to do evil.

John 15:5. For without Me ye can do nothing.

John 3:14,15. As Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have eternal life.

John 3:16. For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Romans 2:4. The goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance.

1 John 1:9. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Isaiah 55:7. Let the wicked forsake his way, ... and let him return unto the Lord.

Matthew 10:32. Whosoever therefore shall confess Me before men, him will I confess also before My Father which is in heaven.

Mark 16:16. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved.

"How, then, are we to be saved? 'Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.' Jn. 1:29

“His love is drawing us to Himself. If we do not resist this drawing, we shall be led to the foot of the cross in repentance for the sins that have crucified the Savior.

“Then the Spirit of God through faith produces a new life in the soul. The thoughts and desires are brought into obedience to the will of Christ. The heart, the mind, are created anew in the image of Him who works in us to subdue all things to Himself. Then the law of God is written in the mind and heart, and we can say with Christ, 'I delight to do Thy will, 0 my God.' Ps. 40:8.$rdquo;

2 Corinthians 5:17. Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature.

Ezekiel 36:16, 28. A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: ... and I will be your God.

Hebrews 8:10, 12. I will put My laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to Me a people:... For I will he merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.

"The Christian's life is a transformation of nature. There is a death to self and sin, and a new life altogether. This change can be brought about only by the effectual working of the Holy Spirit.$rdquo;

Revelation 3:20. Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear My voice, and open the door. I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with Me.

Jesus is knocking at the door of your heart, pleading for entrance. Let Him in. Accept Him as your Lord and Savior.

Continue in Christ

Colossians 2:6. As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in Him.

Galatians 2:20. 1 am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave Himself for me.

“The love of Christ will animate the believer with new life. The things they once hated they now love, and the things they once loved they hate. The proud and self-assertive become meek and lowly in heart. The vain and supercilious become serious and unobtrusive. The drunken become sober, and the profligate pure. The vain customs and fashions of the world are laid aside. If we are Christ's, our sweetest thoughts are of Him. All we have and are is consecrated to Him. We long to bear His image, breathe His spirit, do His will, and please Him in all things.$rdquo;

Jeremiah 9:24. But let him that glorieth glory in this, that he undcrstandeth and knoweth Me, that I am the Lord which exercise lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness, in the earth: for in these things I delight, saith the Lord.

Your Savior longs to develop a close personal relationship with you He invites you to come to Him daily and learn of Him.

Listen to God

Ask Him to give you spiritual insight so that you may hear and understand what He is saying to you Here are some of the more common ways God speaks to us.

  • Through the Bible, God discloses His character, ways, and will. See Ps. 119:105.
  • Through the life of Christ His life of compassion, courtesy, and service to others culminating in His death on the cross, is the most vivid portrayal of God's love ever seen. See 1 Pet. 2:21-25.
  • Through nature God created the beautiful things of nature for the enjoyment of all His creatures. And though the earth bears evidence of the curse of sin and only dimly reflects God's glory, His object lessons are not obliterated. Nature still speaks of her Creator. See Job 12:7-10.
  • Through others. Like the moon reflecting the light of the sun, genuine Christians can give you a small glimpse of God's character. However His likeness in them may be partial, inconsistent, or distorted. See 1 Thes. 1:5-10.
  • Through providence-God's personal care, protection, and guidance. God intervenes in our lives. He leads, cares for, and protects us. He works to get our attention and tell us He loves us. See Ps. 31:19-24; 33:18-22; 36:5-9.

Talk to God

Prayer is the opening of the heart to God as to a friend. Come to Him as you are with your hopes doubts and questions Share your concerns sour joys and struggles See 1 Pet 12; Jer. 29:11-13.

Persevere in a relationship with Him and you ill experience His great unfailing love, power, and wisdom; the kindness, beauty, and compassion of His character, and the joy of doing His will.
